GUARANTEE:
Solar Galaxy Terms and Conditions
This agreement starts when you accept our offer set out in this quote, which you can do by accepting the offer over the phone or by sending us an email and signing, scanning, and sending the quote to our address by post or by email.
You warrant that you :
a) are at least 18 years of age; and
b) either a registered property owner or
c) you have been authorized by all registered owners to enter into this agreement;
d) have read and accepts to and acknowledge the provisions of this agreement.
Payment:
a) Payments under this agreement can be made by Cash, bank cheque, debit card, credit card (2.5% Surcharge applies) or direct deposit.
b) Required deposit must be paid in full at the same time as you accept our offer.
d) If you don’t pay us in full on the day of your installation, then we have a right to file a legal case against you claiming the outstanding amount, Admin fees, legal costs and penalty interest on the outstanding amount. You cannot hold our payment if your Electricity retailer is taking time to making necessary metering changes as per SIR, grid voltage needs to be changed by your DNSP or your inverter’s WIFI Monitoring is not working.

STC Govt. Rebate
Any shading will negatively impact your generation and it is hard to quantify the amount of shading its effects. Any future developments to the property or surroundings may cause shading and will impact your generation and ROI.
There may be export limitation applied on your solar by your DNSP once we submit an application. This will result in additional cost to you.
Please speak to your electricity retailer to get a rate for feed in tariff. It varies from retailer to retailer and can be anywhere between 0c/kWh to 12c/kWh.
Effective from 1st April 2022.
A House should have the following features:
Fibre fire-proof backboard.
The casing should be made out of metal and not wood/chipboard.
No loose wires which should be neatly tucked.
old ceramic switches – only circuit breaker switches.
Enough space should be available to install an isolation switch.
Please refer to ‘Australian Standard AS-6002-1999 Domestic electric meter enclosure’ for further details.
Connecting DB/MSB should be up to current DNSP Standards, AS3000 and AS61439.
No switchboard upgrades have been included in our cost.
The property should be in the metro area of the respective city. Metro is defined as follows:
QLD
80 km from our Brisbane HQ at Brisbane.
VIC
80 km from the Melbourne office at Melbourne.
TAS
80 km from the Hobart office at Hobart.
WA
80 km from the Perth office at Perth.
NSW
80 km from the Sydney office at Sydney.
SA
80 km from the Adelaide office at Adelaide.
Install address must:
Have clear, unhindered vehicle access for our installers.
Have a completed home, not under construction with wiring/power supply complying with current electrical standards.
Have a suitable location for the inverter. If location is exposed or is in the open, a weatherproof cover may be required and will be an extra cost.
The advertised price is only valid for the tin roof (Flat roof and Klip-lok roof not included) & single storey house. Extra charges will be applicable to tile/flat roof/Klip-lok or multi-storey property.
The price advertised is not applicable if you require finance.
The Goods remain Solar Galaxy’s property until the purchase price is paid in full. Until you pay the full purchase price, you will be the custodian of the goods.
The following points must also be adhered to:
You must keep the goods in your possession.
You must keep the goods in good condition and protect them from any damage.
The goods must be kept in a location appropriate to the nature of the goods, separately and marked so that the goods are clearly and easily identifiable as the Solar Galaxy’s property.
If you change the location of the goods, Solar Galaxy must be informed immediately.
You must under no condition sell, assign, change, pledge, lien or other encumbrance to be created in relation to the goods.
If you sell any of the goods while they remain the property of Solar Galaxy, the proceeds from the sale are owed to Solar Galaxy and must be paid to Solar Galaxy immediately.
If you do not pay Solar Galaxy the purchase price of the goods on the installation day,
a) Solar Galaxy may require you to deliver the goods back to them at your cost or
b) We may file a legal case against you claiming the outstanding amount, legal costs and penalty interest on the outstanding amount.
Upon signing the quote, any changes to the quote will incur an admin charge of $20. A new quote will be generated and sent to you.
Solar Galaxy will beat any competitor’s quote by 5%, provided it fulfils the following conditions:
Must be a formal written quote and not a verbal quote or an email confirmation.
The price quoted by the other company cannot be a liquidation sale price.
The price guarantee can only be redeemed once per customer.
The price guarantee offer is applicable only for the metro areas (as defined in section # 1-B above)
The price guarantee is only for products with the exact same model number and specifications as the Solar Galaxy’s products.
The price guarantee only applies to currently stocked items.
The price guarantee does not apply to trade prices or commercial quantities.
Prices indicated on the website are displayed as per the postcodes. Please ensure you enter the correct postcode to receive the relevant pricing.
All the necessary information must be provided by homeowners or the relevant account holder. Any incomplete or incorrect information provided by you may result in a delayed response.
Solar Galaxy will not be held liable for any damage to the solar system caused by fire, flood, storms or other accidents or act of god.
Solar Galaxy does not give any guarantees regarding daily energy production by the solar system. Solar production output varies depending on the weather, direction of roof, shades and other factors.
If Solar Galaxy incurs any extra costs due to incorrect information of any kind provided by the customer, the customer will be liable to pay those additional costs.
It is the customer’s responsibility to obtain all the necessary permits and permissions to have solar installed on the property – this includes but not limited to Council Building approvals and Permits, Strata Title Permission and Landlords permission.

Grid (NET) Meter is to be installed by your Electricity Retailers and not included in our quotation.
MAKING A COMPLAINT:
(a) calling us on our telephone number as set out in the Quote; or
(b) giving us written notice of this, by post or email.
REFUNDS:
a) within 10 days after accepting this agreement
b) if the price increase notice is given and you chose to end the agreement rather than accepts the price increase; and
c) if the distributor refuses the grid connection application for the proposed system. An admin fee of $200 will apply if you cancel the agreement in any of the above cases after 10 days cooling off period.
REFUNDS:
a) within 10 days after accepting this agreement
b) if the price increase notice is given and you chose to end the agreement rather than accepts the price increase; and
c) if the distributor refuses the grid connection application for the proposed system. An admin fee of $200 will apply if you cancel the agreement in any of the above cases after 10 days cooling off period.
MAKING A COMPLAINT:
If you have a complaint relating to the System, its installation or this agreement generally, you can make a complaint to us by:
(a) calling us on our telephone number as set out in the Quote; or
(b) giving us written notice of this, by post or email.
PRICE CHANGES:
If it is reasonable to do so and are not prohibited by law from doing so; In effect of the price increase of the system or any part of it, the installation of the system, STC value increase or decrease and any item mentioned in this quote, Solar Galaxy will notify to you of any additional costs on the day of installation, prior to work commencing over the phone or in writing.
If you provide consent over the phone or in writing, we will proceed with work and send you a revised invoice on the same day for payment. Solar Galaxy may refund a portion of your deposit, after subtracting Admin, grid application and site set up costs, at its own discretion.
If you wish to accept the quote, then you will need to sign the new quote and scan/email it back to us before we can organise your installation.
GRID CONNECTION APPROVAL:
SITE ACCESS:
BUILDING DEFECTS:
A) You warrant that the building or location at the Installation Address is safe, free from defects including asbestos-free and fit for the purpose of installing the System.
B) You acknowledge that Solar Galaxy is not responsible for any damage to the System or your building howsoever so caused as a consequence of a defect or deficiency in your building or part thereof.
C) Solar Galaxy is not responsible or liable for diminished or inadequate performance or installation if your building contains brittle roof tiles, oxidized metal roof or meter boxes or poor roof supports.
D) You must fix all such defects before Solar Galaxy arranges for the installation of the System.
LIABILITIES and RISK:
Solar Galaxy accepts no responsibility for insurance or insurance risk of the solar system upon installation. It is your responsibility to ensure that your property insurance adequately covers your Solar PV System.
You acknowledge Solar Galaxy accepts no liability or responsibility for your Feed-in-Tariff (FiT), as administered by the relevant Government body.
Solar Galaxy accepts no responsibility for any damage or loss caused to your property by the installer which has not been caused by the installer’s negligence. All Solar Galaxy installers are contractors who are required by Solar Galaxy & the relevant legislation’s to have appropriate third party insurance including damage insurance. Solar Galaxy will work with you & the installer to rectify any damage caused to your property as a result of installer’s negligence.
You acknowledge that Solar Galaxy will not be responsible for any damage caused to old & brittle roofing tiles that may be cracked or damaged during installation.
Solar Galaxy accepts no responsibility or liability for additional costs or delays in relation to your need to obtain an upgrade of your meter box, sub-board, or the installation of a new meter; the removal & handling of asbestos at your property in relation to the installation of the Solar PV System; or the installation of timers, contactors, switches, or other wiring & work in relation to Electric Hot Water, Slab Heating, Climate Saver, or Off Peak meters.
Solar Galaxy accepts no responsibility or liability for delays in installation if any information provided by the customer is incorrect.
WARRANTY:
Any service related to solar products depends on warranty provided by Solar Galaxy’s product supplier. Solar Galaxy does not provide any warranty other than that provided by the manufacturer.
a.The Solar PV System comes with up to 10 Years Installation and Workmanship Warranty. from Solar Galaxy in conjunction with the Manufacturer’s Warranty. A Solar PV System requires servicing every two years by a licenced Solar Installer. Solar Galaxy does not provide warranty on monitoring systems which may come with the inverter.
Residential
Workmanship warranty for residential installations is 10 years in total, however the client must get their roof checked by an accredited installer one year after the initial installation to be eligible for the next 9 years of workmanship warranty. They should also be getting their roofing and system maintained and cleaned every two years.
Commercial
Workmanship warranty for commercial installs is 5 years in total in line with Australian standards.
FINANCE
TERMINATION:
Solar Galaxy may choose to terminate this agreement & your installation if you do not abide by these Terms & Conditions or if STC prices fall considerably or supplier’s product prices increase & Solar Galaxy is unable to proceed with the installation as per this agreement; in which case the deposit will be refunded minus Admin charge of $200.
You understand that under Australian Consumer Law & the relevant legislation you are entitled to a cooling-off period of ten (10) working days, where applicable. A Cancellation Request must be received by Solar Galaxy in writing via email, fax, or post within this period.
If a Cancellation Request is received in this time, you may be eligible for a refund of your deposit less any administration charges or costs incurred during that time such as applications or work requests. Termination after the ten (10) days may result in the loss of the full deposit paid. Furthermore, as we normally procure the required materials within two weeks, or fourteen (14) days, of receiving a signed copy of this agreement, the customer may be required to pay material costs if the job is cancelled after this period.
If we have to reschedule the installation on the day of install due to non presence of the customer on the day at the property unless previously agreed in writing, then it will require a reschedule fees as per the installers cancellation rates agreed with us in his contract.
If the installation has to be cancelled on the day of installation due to incorrect or insufficient information provided by the customer about the property or the meter, then the customer will have to pay cancellation fees of the installer. If the installation cannot go ahead due to incorrect information provided by customer at the time of sale, then customer’s full deposit amount will be retained by Solar Galaxy and they will not be eligible for any refunds.
